Our Family
The history of Giumarello's is typical of any large Italian family; Sunday dinners and warm holiday gatherings with the relatives, mom's or grandmom's homecooked specialties and the memories that will last a lifetime. Many of those memories were centered around the kitchen and what we have always done best; Northern Italian Cuisine. Over the years our recipes have been passed down through the generations, while thousands of new ones have been dreamt about and created in our restaurant's kitchen. We have always loved being together and eating together, and we look forward to your next visit so you can experience the Giumarello passion for fine food and warm gatherings!
Our Restaurant
Every day, for the past 20 years, brothers Sam and Gian Giumarello have taken great pride in operating their family restaurant. Chef Sam can be found in the kitchen creating new dishes & preparing favorites, while Gian tends to the ever expansive martini menu and wine list by researching, creating and bringing in some of the most sought after drinks.
The doors first opened to Giumarello's Restaurant in 1988. These were very modest beginnings, in the original location, on Station Avenue in Haddon Heights. The dining room sat a very limited number of people and was split between two floors. Several years later we were finally able to realize our dream of accomodating more diners and aquiring a liquor license to operate a seperate bar area. We were also thrilled to be able to offer our guests more than ample parking and complimentary Valet service too! On many weekend evenings our bar area was so crowded with patrons that you could barely walk through without squeezing by.
Finally, in 2008, we were able to expand our bar area and give it a new identity; GBar Lounge was born! Today, Giumarello's and GBar can host private parties as well as hundreds of diners all at the same time. And nothing
makes us happier than being able to accomodate ALL of our friends & family!
